Celebrate Bats at Bentsen-RGV State Park, Saturday August 23
The whole family is invited to look and listen for nocturnal wildlife with our Park Naturalists after dark as they explore Bentsen-RGV State Park during our Creatures of the Night excursions. Join us on Saturday, August 23 from 8:00-10:00 pm, as we Celebrate Bats with a special night program and walk. Pre-registration required.
Shatter the myths and misconceptions of these often misunderstood nocturnal creatures and their habits. With over a thousand different species around the world, bats are truly beneficial to the environment and humans alike rather than the negative stereotypes they have come to represent. Learn all about beneficial bats during our special Creatures of the Night program.

These outings are fun for the whole family and are free with paid park entrance! Pre-registration is required and spots are limited. All you need is some drinking water, insect repellent, a camera and a thirst for adventure.
