The 5th Annual 24 Hour Film Dash took place on April 20-21.  Eighteen teams scrambled to complete a 3-5 minute film within 24 hours.  On Saturday, April 27 at STC Cooper Center, we screened all the films followed by an awards ceremony.

Everybody’s film had to include:

Character – a janitor

Prop – a yo-yo

Dialogue – “My mom always told me to wear a clean one”

Action – Sliding

Theme – Destiny

CineSol Film Festival has teamed up with Tugg.com to present Cinemark Classic Series at 50% off!

Every Wednesday, Cinemark has re-screened movie classics on the big screen. The normal ticket price is $8.  For the next 3 movie screenings, the ticket price will be at $4 each (using tugg.com).

Calling All Star Wars Fans!!

May 4th is Star Wars Day.  (May the Fourth be with you).  In commemoration of Star Wars Day, Cine El Rey in McAllen will be having a Star Wars marathon.  The original trilogy (Episodes IV, V, and VI) will be screened from noon until 5pm. 

The original versions of these movies will be screened.  Not the re-touched movies.  Not the ones with extra scenes.  (These are the original movies how they were released in the theaters.  You can only find the originals on laser disc or VHS.  The original versions are no longer sold.)

FREE ADMISSION.

Light sabers and cosplay are encouraged!  Come dressed up as your favorite Star Wars character.  Bring your lightsabers.

We have confirmation that a sandtrooper and a stormtrooper will be appearing sometime at the marathon.  Bring your cameras.
